Women's shamans from Buryatya

Album contains unofficial recordings of shaman ceremonial performed by the group of medicine women from Tuva / Buryatya (Central Asia) during their tour in Poland, in 1997.

Marek Tomalik
A sonic jotter from the journey to Australia.

Album contains  recordings made by Marek Tomalik, a jurnalist and an avid traveller (working for the local edition of National Geographic) - gathered during his latest expedition exploring Australia's outback nad Strzelecki Peak.
Recordings consist of  humorus chants initiated by members of expedition on their exhausting off road journey as well as animals vocalisation - especially voices of the birds  from Australian bush.

Sounds from the inside of the earth

Album contains recordings of moffette, a geological miracle located in Polish Carpathians..
Moffette is a natural earth hole , through which carbon dioxide is getting out of the deep earth tier. It produces its own sounds, depending whether the process takes places in the spring water or just in the cracks of rocky surface.
Recordings were made in autumn 2005, without any additional processing. All one can hear is raw sound of nature as it comes..

KORSYKA

Music report from an artistic jurney to Corsica made by Anna Nacher and Marek Styczyński in June 2005. Contains nine jam sessions captured in a rural church of St.Antonio and fragments of the local  "singers battles", recorded on the spot at the village wine cellar. In the CD You will find presentation of original wind instruments from the island.
The recods made by Nacher & Styczyński are released for the first time in Poland.

Rilski Monaster (Bulgaria)

CD contains huge fragments of field recordings made by Anna Nacher & Marek Styczynski in "Rilski Monastir" -Orthodox  Monastery in Bulgaria, in September 2004. The recordings were made during the time of the sacral  festival - when monks chant in a very special way. On CD you will also find the recordings of a holy ceremonial , when monk is walking round the church with a special instrument- a wooden plank - to exhort believers to attend the mass. The Rilski Monastir is one of the largest and oldest monasteries in Bulgaria, situated in Rila mountains at 1000 meters above a sea leavel. The monastery was built near the cave where the hermit  St.Ivan lived.
Fragments of that recordings were used by musicians on their latest release, "Sonic Suicide" (Vivo Records , 2005 )

SLOVAKIA soundscapes

Album contains remixes of studio recordings of Magic Carpathians Project ( "ethnocore 2 : nytu" DRF SF USA, 2001 ). Combined with field recordings taken by Marek Styczynski & Anna Nacher on their numerous journeys across Slovakia. Music incorporates traditional medicine songs from Carpathians as well as recordings from Slovakian and Hungarian borderland, including elements of Gypsy, shepherds and highlanders music and songs.
Remixes were made by Andrzej Widota ( The Band of endless Noise) Olek Wilk and Marek Styczyński. One of the remixes is made by rhBand (located at the time in Los Angeles, CA, USA, 2001).

World Flag Edition

World Flag Edition is the series of soundscapes and other Magic Carpathians' experimental  off side projects. The CD-Rs are carefully assembled, with accompanying outstanding photos and art work by an artist specialising in photography, Bodgan Kiwak.  All covers are hand made by Magic Carpathians and their crew.
